Lead and mentor the next generation.

Our approach to secondary and special education covers the teaching strategies our graduates need to excel in the  教室. Students respond to a broad range of teaching styles, and our future teachers learn to utilize various teaching methods and models to support students.

Introducing the Fundamentals of Secondary Education

Students are introduced to the foundations of special education, literacy, and lesson planning. As a learner, you will learn to support and respect diversity in the secondary 教室 setting.

Inclusive Education

作为老师, you must identify the strengths and needs of each student and create an inclusive 教室 that fosters a healthy learning environment for everyone.

In your program, you will learn to utilize data-driven instruction to identify instructional methods and interventions to support student growth and skill development.

Teaching Students in the 信息rmation Age

Our program features courses enabling educators and students to function in the changing landscape of the information age.

作为一名学生, we will equip you with the knowledge and practical experience to guide growing students through the physical, 情感, 社会, and cognitive changes they will experience in adolescence. You will be aware of the impacts of their communities, previous schools, and family on constructing their identity.

You will learn how to create a lesson plan and utilize instructional technology.

Placement 项目 That Turn Science and Theory Into Action

In your final term at Roberts Wesleyan University, our student teaching program will offer you a placement in a 教室 setting. Before graduating, you will attend Capstone Seminars and learn situational problem solving through analysis, 角色扮演, and writing reflection papers under the supervision of highly trained practitioners.
